For the Biomimicry Product Development Manager, natural and ecological thinking is the starting point for developing sustainable and functional designs. Technology and the experience of form and material play an ever greater role. The biomimicry Life’s Principles provide direction in designing products, devising architecturally sustainable solutions, optimising building layouts, minimising packaging materials and incorporating behavioural aspects into the design.
Biomimicry Centre is a Cedeo-accredited training institute. Cedeo is an independent certifying body that assesses training providers on quality, continuity and customer focus. The accreditation is based on independent customer satisfaction research and is only awarded when at least 80% of the customers surveyed are satisfied to very satisfied. It is reassessed every two years.

In this 6-day course you learn how nature can help you make the difference as a biomimicry designer. You also gain insight into natural design dimensions and the Life’s Principles.

- Day 1: 23 April 2027 Biomimicry Life’s Principles and the design spiral.
- Day 2: 7 May 2027 Biologically Inspired Design model and 4-Box.
- Day 3: 21 May 2027 Golden ratio and design dimensions.
- Day 4: 4 June 2027 Form-giving and lightweight structures.
- Day 5: 18 June 2027 Cradle-to-cradle and City of the Future.
- Day 6: 2 July 2027 Practical exam
Costs
The course costs € 5.450,00 (excl. VAT). This includes training materials, certification costs, use of the venue, coffee/tea and an extensive lunch arrangement.

Duration
The total duration of this course is 3 months with 6 course days. Preparation and assignments require an average of 3 hours per week.
